Luck in the draw becomes a labor of heart: We were finally able to hand over our donation of 2,000€, which we had already collected 2024 through the tombola at our Christmas party and additional donations from the management.
The donation went to the Wünschewagen: a volunteer project funded entirely by donations from the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland e.V.. Specially equipped vehicles take seriously and terminally ill people in the final stages of their lives to the place they long for to visit one last time – the sea, the stadium, home to family and friends. This final journey is free of charge for passengers and their relatives and is made possible by donations and the commitment of numerous volunteers.
Christina Meiswinkel, Sigrid Kolbe, and Fabian Kapp had the honor of presenting the donation to Mike Siebert – on behalf of everyone who breathes life into this heartfelt project day after day.
By the way, our employees decide who receives the donation. Every year, they can nominate organizations, which are then voted on collectively. In this way, our Christmas celebrations are not only a celebration of togetherness, but also a genuine commitment.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made suggestions (greetings to Sigrid!), bought raffle tickets, donated, and shared in the excitement – and to the teams of the Wünschewagen who are making last wishes come true.
