Graebener® pipe end beveling machines have continuously been setting new standards in the weld seam preparation of pipe ends. While mechanical copying devices have been the technological standards for decades to endure a constant web width, we have developed an additional "one-for-all" technology for the CNC controlled Graebener® end beveling machine which allows you as operator to optimally process carbon steels as well as other material grades. Mechanical copying and CNC copying in one machine – for all weld seam geometries, in one-side or two-side design depending on the requirement.
Given the ever increasing quality requirements, common pipe end beveling processes fail when it comes to complex geometries as well as pipes with increased wall thickness. Thanks to the accurate CNC control of the tool support of your customized Graebener® machine you can now process pipes with a wall thickness of up to 80 mm and realized the most complex weld seam geometries individually and in a cost-efficient way. Smaller wall thickness and comparatively simple geometries can still be copied mechanically.

For this reason, the die Graebener® 1-side and 2-side pipe end beveling machines are based on a well-tested design which has proven reliable under even the most challenging industrial conditions worldwide. It consists of a robust machine bed which is movable in longitudinal direction on rails. The CNC facing slide has a universal design to accommodate various tools and measuring devices. The pipe clamping device is an operator-friendly and modular system to ensure highest flexibility and short tool change times in the production for you as operator.
Only the best technology is applied for an optimum result. Our CNC controlled technology for increased wall thickness automatically considers the ovality at the pipe ends thus ensuring a constant web processing. This is made possible by an electronic measuring system which measures the ovality of the pipe to the center throughout the entire pipe circumference. This way, deviations from the theoretical pipe center can be displayed graphically.
Your Graebener® machine generates a set of data for each pipe end which is processed in the CNC software for the automatic tool correction. This way, even the weld seam does not need to be considered during the machining process since the seam is detected as unevenness by the intelligent control software based on the exact measuring data and compensated in the machining process.
In addition to this, the electronic measuring system – in case of the 2-side machine concept – allows the automatic measuring of the pipe length and hence the possibility to adapt the pipe to an exact length.
